Read MoreI began playing piano at 8 when one set of grandparents gifted a small electric organ.
Our family Southern Baptist religious denomination hosted a missionary who played by ear.
He inspired me to want to learn.
However, I avoided both note reading and ear training: ended up making my own music.
Another set of grandparents gifted an 1890s Saloon piano with 2 bullet holes in it. (You could say I was motivated to play well.)
By the time I was 14, I’d written a handful of religious songs that congregants from my Church enjoyed.
The positive feedback encouraged me onward.
Fast forward in time to 1999, I officially left my religious ties and ceased from playing music for an entire 9 months.
After that, I walked into a piano store looking for a job and fresh vitally filled me.
In 2012, I auditioned to play piano at PDX International Airport, in Portland, OR. USA, and upon acceptance, was among about 40 other musicians of diverse instruments and styles.
At that time, I primarily played spontaneous, relaxing, deep emotional music.
Many traveler’s stopped and sat down to teleport themselves where the flow was moving me, at any given moment.
In the future, I aim to release official tracks in diverse genres, which reflect a signature sound, as well as modern sensibilities.
Since 2019, I have been stubbornly slow studying music production.
Below I have some examples of productions I hired other teams to produce, with my direct input.
Below you will find blog posts dedicated to the backstories of my compositions and songs.
